Project Next Generation: Videography

The history of storytelling has been passed down for generations. Without this important art, much of our history would be lost. Join us for an introduction to the art of videography. Participants will learn how to capture and help tell a story that is not their own. To begin, participants will write letters inviting Veterans from VFW Post 177 to participate in our project. Next, participants will interview a local Veteran and help tell their story. The video will be on display at the Project Next Generation Community Showcase and the video will be submitted to the Illinois Veterans History Project. This program will be run by library staff and community members. Funding for this grant was awarded by the Illinois State Library, a Department of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
