Beginning on Monday, February 15, we are expanding our hours and opening our doors for browsing our shelves and picking up holds. At this time, our Youth Services area is still closed due to construction. Our expanded hours will be 10am-5pm, Monday-Saturday. Masks are required at all times while in the building. We will continue to offer appointments for computer sessions, copying, scanning and faxing during this time. See below for more information.
Virtual services including our online programs, ebooks and audiobooks, and our social media pages remain available and active, along with our phone lines. We encourage everyone to take advantage of these services! If you need help getting connected with our online offerings, don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
Adult Services is offering appointments for computer use, copying and using the scanner, beginning Monday, January 25. Computer appointments will last either 30 minutes or 1 hour; copying & scanning appointments will last 30 minutes at most. Please call the library at 708-423-7753 and ask for Adult Services to set up your appointment. Appointments may be scheduled during our current curbside service hours - 10am-5pm, Monday-Saturday. Appointments can be made up to seven days in advance. Faxing services are also available on an appointment basis through our circulation department.
Computer sessions, copying & scanning are all by appointment only. Browsing & general library use by the public is not permitted for the time being, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and our ongoing renovation. If you are feeling sick or may have been exposed to COVID-19, we kindly ask that you refrain from making appointments for these services. Masks must be worn at all times inside the library and social distancing will be observed by everyone, including staff. While staff can offer verbal assistance from a distance, we cannot offer hands-on computer help or directly handle any personal electronic devices.
We will continue to offer curbside pickup by request. Please continue to place holds as you normally would, either through our website or by calling the library. To pick up your holds, please call the library when you arrive and meet us at the front door.
We have lifted the limit on DVDs and other items you can check out - all items, not including techhnology equipment or video games, may be checked out in unlimited quantities.
Take-home crafts from our Youth Services department will be available for curbside pickup beginning each Monday.
Please don't hesitate to call the library at 708-423-7753 with your questions. We hope to continue to serve our community while keeping everyone as safe as possible.
