Storytimes provide an important role in helping your child get ready to read. You are your child's first teacher, and home is where your child begins to learn. The public library provides resources to help you talk, sing, read, write and play with your child through the Every Child Ready to Read initiative.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Reading together helps your child build big vocabularies and a lifelong love of books. Join our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program—it’s free, fun, and flexible. Repeats count, and prizes along the way keep little readers motivated!
Pick up a folder in Youth Services and take the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Challenge! Pick up a prize for every 100 books read. To start logging your child's books virtually use Beanstack.
