National Pet Day is Saturday, April 11. It is a day to celebrate your own pets and raise awareness for animals in shelters needing homes by adopting, donating, or volunteering.

Join us for an early celebration on Thursday and “adopt” a stuffed animal. Stuffed animals will be supplied. Next look through books to learn about your animal and follow along in a drawing lesson to draw your animal’s portrait on their adoption certificate. • R
