It’s obvious that we all love the library, and this year our Block of the Month is about fostering a love of books and reading.

Welcome to our 2026-2027 Block of the Month! It’s obvious that we all love the library, and this year our Block of the Month is about fostering a love of books and reading. In an original design by textile artist Eileen Uchima, you will learn multiple techniques each meeting, going home with instructions and the skills to create your own library blocks. Every month you will be presented with a new block…some of them will build your library and some of them will embellish it with other shelf adornments. This quilt will finish at 42” X 50” which makes it a great size for a crib or lap quilt. The library could easily be expanded or extra borders can be added to increase it to a throw or cuddle up size. Whether you make this for yourself or the book-lover in your life, it is sure to be on the bestseller list!
