Beginning Quilting Class

Class 1: Accurate cutting and sewing Class 2: Beginning machine quilting Class 3: Finishing your quilt

Come discover the fun and creative hobby of quilting. See how simple it can be to get started creating heirlooms that your family and friends will cherish for years to come!  In this three-part class, you will learn all of the steps of making your first quilt from cutting to piecing to machine quilting to binding. Eileen Uchima, our in-house quilting teacher, will give you tips on supplies, fabric, and SEW much more! With some home sewing you will complete this quilt and be prepare to take on your next project. NOTE: Students should know how to use their sewing machine. If you don’t have your own machine, the library has machines available to use in-house or take home.
