Library of Things

In addition to our books, movies, music and video games, the library provides a range of other items for checkout from what we call the Library of Things!

In-library use

The following items are available for use inside the library. Patrons may check them out for a four-hour period at the Adult Services desk, and they may be renewed as long as no one else is in need:

  • Phone chargers
  • Reading glasses
  • Magnifiers
  • Headphones
  • Dell laptops

Out-of-library use

The following items are available to be checked out and taken home:

  • Wi-Fi hotspots (2 week checkout, Chicago Ridge residents only)
  • Lenovo laptops (2 week checkout, Chicago Ridge residents only)
  • Board games for both youth and adults
  • Cake pans
  • Adventure backpacks (includes binoculars and a bug catching kit)
  • Zumba workout accessories
